Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines | 6901 Pinecrest Road, Raleigh, NC 27613

Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines serves 41 counties in central and eastern North Carolina serving 26,000 girls and 9,000 adult volunteers. The council is charted by Girl Scouts of the USA.

At Girl Scouts, we're all about finding the fun in new adventures.

Together, we'll help your rising kindergartner develop courage, confidence, and character as she makes new friends, discovers the world around her, and realizes how awesome it is to be a girl. She'll instantly join an amazing support community that will cheer her on during this important transition and help her along the way.

As a Girl Scout Daisy, she'll have the opportunity to join a troop of similarly aged girls who will connect over amazing experiences such as earning their first petal (Girl Scout badge), and learning to live the Girl Scout Promise and Law. With us, she'll learn independence, kindness, teamwork, and community service - all while having a ton of fun with her new best friends.

Joining a Girl Scout troop is also a great way to enhance your girl's education as our program mirrors and complements many of the lessons found in the classroom. She'll gain core competencies as part of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and develop important life skills that will last her a lifetime.

Join us at our of our upcoming Summer Sun and Girl Scout Fun! events where you can learn more about the Girl Scout program.

Rising kindergartners can start participating as of May 1! Register for an extended year membership valid through September 2020 for only $35! Girl Scout troops for rising kindergartners are forming now. Use our online form to pre-register to claim her spot.

What Girls Do in Girl Scouts

Our program is based off something called the Girl Scout Leadership Experience - a collection of activities and experiences she'll have as she earns badges and patches and builds core life skills along the way.

Leadership

Camp & Outdoors

She'll develop the kind of outdoor skills it's hard to get anywhere else. Skills like building a campfire, pitching a tent, or canoeing across a lake. She'll experience the great outdoors with her troop by her side and discover there's beauty all around her.

Girl Scout Cookies

Goal setting, money management, and people skills. These are just a few of the skills she'll learn as she participes in the Girl Scout Cookie Sale. She'll also have the chance to work as a team and earn rewards and troop proceeds that fund some pretty amazing adventures!

Girl Scout Troop

When girl's learn and experience new things in an all-girl environment, something magical happens. She speaks up, is willing to explore outside her comfort zone, and realizes it's awesome to be a girl. Joining a troop gives her the opportunity to make new friends and experience all the fun in a girl-safe setting.

Travel

Girls Scouts loves to travel - from local field trips to global adventures - she'll experience all the world around her has to offer. With a ton of different trips available each year including surfting camp, breathtaking hikes, and overseas adventures, there is something for everyone to experience.

Awards & Scholarships

The Girl Scout Gold Award is highest award a girl can earn and once achieved shows colleges, employers, and her local community that she's out there changing the world. Earning Girl Scout awards also makes girls eligible for higher education scholarships.

Testimonials from Girl Scouts

The girls lead all the activities - many of them trying things they never would have done before. From community service projects to troop travel to outdoor adventures, these experiences are helping the girls address obstacles in their lives and giving them leadership opportunities to move strongly into their future. - Tina, Troop Leader, Craven County

I love Girl Scouts because it gives me confidence! In Girl Scouts, you can challenge yourself, even when you're just a kid like me. You learn new things, and when you work hard, you get rewards for your troop! - Asia, age 8, Girl Scout Troop #133

My daughter, Licia, was a painfully shy five-year-old. Girl Scout Troop #1877 became our home for 13 years. Now Licia is attending early college and hoping to pursue her law degree. Just imagine: that shy girl hiding behind her mom now wants to argue a case in front of a judge! - Ursula, Girl Scout Parent, Martin County
